Case studies
Every case follows the same structure: starting point, approach, outcome with figures, and a list of what transfers to a company with 50 to 500 employees. German terms such as works council are explained where they first appear, so the cases read without prior knowledge of German employment law.
Frequently asked questions
Why are there no company names on the case studies?
Because the cases describe what happened inside companies: system rebuilds, policies, hiring decisions, performance reviews. Industry and role are named. Which case belongs to which employer stays deliberately anonymous.
Were these interim assignments?
No. All five cases come from earlier permanent roles, as HR Manager, HR Business Partner or in HR operations. Every case study says so explicitly. The way of working they describe is the same one I apply in interim mandates today.
Are the figures real?
Yes. They are figures from work I was personally accountable for, not estimates or industry averages. Where something is an assessment rather than a measurement, it says so. What I can no longer document, I do not quote.
Will new case studies be added?
Yes, after a mandate ends, with some distance and anonymised. Ongoing mandates are not described.
Can I speak to a former employer or client?
References are available on request during the first call, after I have checked with the person concerned. Public reviews are on Google, ProvenExpert and Trustpilot.
Are these cases relevant outside Germany?
The mechanics of a works council (Betriebsrat, the elected employee body in German companies) are specific to Germany. The rest, process before system, assessment before draft, teams keeping what works, applies anywhere. Each case marks what transfers.
