Principle

All content on this website is written personally by Nick Schäfer, based on his own HR practice, not as a summary of other people's guides. The test for every text: would I say this to a managing director on a first call in exactly the same way? If not, it does not go on the website. Who writes is under Author.

Case studies and figures

Case studies come from past roles and are presented anonymised: company names are not given, except on the About Nick Schäfer page, where his own employers are listed openly. Figures in case studies and on the role pages come from his own responsibility, not from estimates or industry averages, unless expressly marked as such. Where a figure is rounded, it says "around" or "more than".

Prices

Prices are deliberately not published, because they depend on responsibility, term and scope and are discussed individually on the first call. The cost pages on this website explain the logic behind them, not a fixed figure. Where comparison values are given, for example the margin of interim providers, they are experience values from the market, marked as such.

AI tools

This website uses AI tools to support research and text drafts, in the same tools that are used in AI projects for HR teams. Every published piece of content is reviewed for accuracy, revised and signed off by Nick Schäfer, regardless of which tools were used in the process. Anything he cannot confirm from his own practice is cut, not rephrased.

The checklist every text goes through

  1. First-hand practiceIs there a first-hand experience or a named source behind every statement?
  2. Figures substantiatedIs every figure from own responsibility, or marked as an estimate?
  3. AnonymisedDoes no case study allow conclusions about the company or individuals?
  4. Legal questions markedFor legal statements, is the statutory provision named and the reference to legal advice present?
  5. No pricesIs there no day rate or flat fee anywhere?
  6. A human has read itHas Nick Schäfer read the text in full and signed it off before publication?

Corrections

Factual errors are corrected as soon as they become known, and the affected page receives a new modification date. Notes by email to nick@nicksadvisory.com. Disagreements about assessments are welcome, on a first call or on LinkedIn, but they do not automatically change the text.

Frequently asked questions

Are the texts written with AI?

AI tools help with research and drafts. Every published text is reviewed for accuracy, revised and signed off by Nick Schäfer. Anything he cannot confirm from his own practice is cut.

Why are there no company names in the case studies?

Because the cases describe what happened inside companies. The employers are listed openly on the About page; the assignment of case to company stays anonymous.

How do I report an error?

By email to nick@nicksadvisory.com. Factual errors are corrected and the page receives a new modification date.

Are the reviews genuine?

Yes. They are on Google, ProvenExpert, Trustpilot and Expertenmarkt, and every logo on the reviews page leads to the real profile.
