Where you are

What's holding you up

You get invited less often than you used to, and nobody tells you why.

For you if you are applying from around 50 onwards and your hit rate has changed.

The build

How you work through it.

Not a loose pile of pages to skim. The order is built on purpose, each part sits on the one before it, and you end up with a finished result instead of a list of good advice.

1

Weigh the six concerns

You work through the six unspoken reservations about older candidates in the German market, ordered by how much each one costs you the invitation. Only two of them decide it.

2

Rebuild the CV into three zones

The last 12 to 15 years take 80 percent of the space, older roles move into a single archive line. Plus clear calls on graduation years, date of birth, photo and length.

3

Show that you are current

You enter three pieces of evidence with a year: what it was, when it happened, and where it sits in your documents. Claims like “very willing to learn” get deleted word for word.

4

Prepare age questions and salary

The typical questions get an answer written out in full. On salary, the gap to the target role's band decides which sentence holds up.

A look inside

Real pages, not mockups.

Three pages from the guide, exactly as they reach you after the purchase.

Guide page “Three zones instead of one list”: a timeline splitting 30 years of work into archive, condensed and focus, with a table of recommendations on graduation years, date of birth, photo and length.
Guide page “Show you are current without justifying yourself”: evidence that counts set against wording that does not, plus fillable fields for three pieces of your own evidence with year and location in the document.
Guide page “When your last salary was above the target role”: a decision tree for gaps under 10 percent, 10 to 25 percent and over 25 percent, with sample sentences for the cover letter, the first call and the offer.

The download

One purchase, two languages, two ways to work.

DE / EN

Both versions

The download holds two folders, one English, one German. You pay once and decide yourself which language you work in.

PDF

Real form fields

You type straight into the PDF on your computer and save as you go. Printing works too, it just is not necessary.

Worksheets included

If you would rather write in Word, use the worksheets that come with it.

What the price is measured against

Fighting the wrong concern means months spent rewriting the wrong document.

Before you buy

What buyers want to know first.

Does this not just sugarcoat the situation?

No. All six reservations are in there unfiltered, including the two that actually decide the invitation. That is exactly what makes it useful: you stop working on the wrong thing.

Is this in English or in German?

Both. The download holds two folders, one with the English and one with the German version. You pay once and decide yourself which language you work in, which helps when a German employer asks for documents in German.

Do I have to print this out?

No. The PDF has real form fields, you type straight into it on your computer and save as you go. If you prefer Word, use the worksheets that come with it. Printing works too, it is just not necessary.

How does buying work, and is it safe?

Payment runs through Stripe, the same payment provider Amazon and Zalando use. I never see your card details. Right after payment you get the download link on the confirmation page and by email, plus an invoice showing German VAT. Checkout, download and confirmation email are all in English.
