Nick’s AdvisoryCareer Coaching

Your rejections have a reason. You just never get to hear it.

I've held over 1,000 interviews myself and hired over 100 people. In this coaching I tell you what I would see in your documents and in how you come across, if I were still the one deciding. In English, for expats and internationals across Germany.

30 or 60 minutes, or a mock interview, booked directly with no intro call needed.

How we’ll actually work together

So you know what you’re signing up for: the principles I work by, and what you can count on in return.

Book directly

No intro call, no waiting list: you book directly, done. You arrange the actual appointment right after.

Honest, not nice

I tell you what I would see in your place as a hiring manager, even when the answer is uncomfortable. That's what you're booking this for, not for reassurance.

Focused time

Entirely on your topic. No small talk, no generic advice you could find with a search engine.

You stay in the driver's seat

I advise, review and prepare. Decisions and submissions are always made by you, no applications sent in your name and no placement promises.

Your guide stays yours

For the two sessions, your chosen guide is ready to download right away, independent of the appointment, and stays yours for good afterwards.

Need more? Just book again

If one session or mock interview isn't enough, I'll tell you honestly, and you simply book another whenever you need it. No commitment, no subscription.

Just want a guide, no session? All guides from the library and more are also available separately as career workbooks, from 11 € and without a call.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you actually coach in English, or is this a translated page?

I coach in English, not just German. If you're applying for jobs in Germany and prefer to work in English, whether you're relocating, already living here, or applying remotely, that's exactly what this is. The digital guides are available in both languages too, so you read whichever one you actually work in.

Which offer is right for me?

30 minutes are enough for one concrete question: making sense of an offer, preparing for a specific interview, going through a salary negotiation. 60 minutes are worth it if several topics are on the table, or if you want to go through your materials with me directly. If a specific interview is coming up, the mock interview is the right choice: a real simulation plus feedback, instead of just talking about it.

How does the purchase actually work?

You choose what fits, and for the two sessions a digital guide from my library, then pay directly by card. Afterwards you get an email with the link to book your appointment and, for the sessions, the download link for your guide. No intro call, no waiting list.

I'm not fluent in German. Can you still help me find a job here?

Yes, that's one of the situations I help with most. Plenty of roles in Frankfurt's international companies, especially in finance, consulting, and tech, are filled in English. What matters is knowing how German hiring managers actually screen candidates, structure interviews, and judge CVs, and that's exactly what I teach, in English.

What exactly is the digital guide I choose with a session?

Seven documents to choose from, all written by me: an interview answer framework, a career change workbook, an emergency kit after redundancy, a guide to international applications with an English CV, a leadership application kit, a mindset guide against fear of rejection, and a guide to searching while still employed. You pick exactly one at checkout, it's ready to download right away, and it's yours afterwards. Every one of them comes in German and English, in the same download. The mock interview doesn't include a guide, it's its own format.

When do I get an appointment?

Right after the purchase I send you the link to my calendar, where you pick a free slot yourself. Usually you'll find a suitable time within the next one to two weeks.

What if one session or mock interview isn't enough?

Then I'll tell you honestly, ideally already during the appointment. You simply book another one whenever you need it. There's no commitment and no subscription, every appointment stands on its own.

How is this different from classic career coaching?

Most coaches teach theory about how applications should work. I have conducted over 1,000 interviews myself and made over 100 hiring decisions. So you get the read of the person who used to make these calls, concentrated into a single appointment instead of a weeks-long program.

Do I need to be in Frankfurt in person?

No, everything runs entirely online via video call, including the mock interview.

Can I deduct this from my taxes?

Usually, yes: job-search costs and professional development are typically deductible as work-related expenses in Germany. That depends on your individual tax situation though, so confirm the exact deductibility with your tax advisor or local tax office. I can't guarantee it for your specific case.
