Where you are

What's holding you up

You are unhappy, but you cannot tell whether it is the job, the role, the industry, or just the circumstances.

For you if you have been going back and forth for months without reaching a decision.

The build

How you work through it.

Not a loose pile of pages to skim. The order is built on purpose, each part sits on the one before it, and you end up with a finished result instead of a list of good advice.

1

Diagnosis across five fields

You score the work itself, the people, the framework, the outlook and the purpose separately. The result shows which field is actually broken and which one carries you.

2

Strengths from real situations

You collect your skills from concrete situations in your working life. Then you separate what travels with you into a new job from what stays behind in the old one.

3

Non-negotiables and the switching calculation

You write down what you will not trade away, then calculate the move against salary, time and security. German notice periods set how fast you can move at all.

4

Decision matrix and the next 14 days

Five options are scored against each other, with a tie-break rule for a dead heat. At the end you enter three appointments with real dates for the coming two weeks.

A look inside

Real pages, not mockups.

Three pages from the guide, exactly as they reach you after the purchase.

Guide page “Your result”: a bar chart of the five fields, the work, the people, the framework, the outlook and the purpose, shown on a worked example, with a table for your own five totals and the score zones from broken to solid.
Guide page “What travels with you and what stays behind”: two columns listing what you take into a new job and what remains in the old one, with fill-in fields and a table translating industry jargon into plain language.
Guide page “The next 14 days”: a timeline with three appointments by day 4, day 9 and day 14, followed by fields for the person you approach, what you check and what you change.

The download

One purchase, two languages, three ways to work.

DE / EN

Both versions

The download holds two folders, one English, one German. You pay once and decide yourself which language you work in.

PDF

Real form fields

You type straight into the PDF on your computer and save as you go. Printing works too, it just is not necessary.

WORD + XLS

Worksheets included

If you would rather write in Word, use the worksheets that come with it; the calculations sit in the Excel file.

What the price is measured against

A move in the wrong direction costs you one to two years. This analysis costs you an afternoon.

Before you buy

What buyers want to know first.

I know best what I want.

Probably true, it is just hard to sort while it keeps circling in your head. The workbook forces you to break your dissatisfaction into five fields and score the options against each other. Staying and renegotiating counts as a full option, not as backing down.

Is this in English or in German?

Both. The download holds two folders, one with the English and one with the German version. You pay once and decide yourself which language you work in, which helps when a German employer asks for documents in German.

Do I have to print this out?

No. The PDF has real form fields, you type straight into it on your computer and save as you go. If you prefer Word, use the worksheets that come with it. Printing works too, it is just not necessary.

How does buying work, and is it safe?

Payment runs through Stripe, the same payment provider Amazon and Zalando use. I never see your card details. Right after payment you get the download link on the confirmation page and by email, plus an invoice showing German VAT. Checkout, download and confirmation email are all in English.
